Notes on Driving: If you drive to the convention, try to avoid rush hour traffic! The worst traffic conditions around the Washington, DC metro area may be expected between 8 and 10:00am and 4 and 7:00pm. Maryland uses traffic cameras for speed and red light enforcement. Be sure to obey all local traffic laws to avoid an unpleasant souvenir several weeks after your return from the convention.
Notes on Parking: Parking at the hotel is $5/night for convention attendees, not $12 as listed in the reservation form. The hotel parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional metered lots are also available near the hotel. These lots feature free parking on weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Meters must be fed on weekdays from 7:00am to 7:00pm for $.50/hour. There are limited spots available for towed trailers. If you intend to attend the convention with a trailer, please contact convention staff immediately at the email address listed below to reserve a space for it. Be prepared to give total trailer dimensions so that we can be sure it will fit in the parking garage.
